“MegaFon” will build a data center in Samara Region

Subsidiary “MegaFona” – OAO MSS-Povolzhie “is planning to build a data center (SAC) in the Samara region, to invest in the project $ 20 million, RBK reports.
Data processing center will occupy 3.2 hectares of territory in the vicinity of Samara. The
infrastructure of the complex itself includes data-center, call-center, transformer substation and a diesel generator sets, archive warehouse.

Data-center will become a platform to accommodate the server and communication equipment and connectivity through the Internet “Povolzhye-MSS.” Also, it will reserve land to technological equipment, power energy, will provide backup information company. SAC will be able to provide services to third-party organizations – and a virtual VPS-hosting, server rent, accommodation client server on-site data-center.
