SAP NetWeaver became the first foreign ERP-system developer, certified for compliance with the Defense Ministry classified information. Admission to data classified under “Secret” for SAP will pass to the segment of power structures, as well as to a wider range of defense customers.
The technological platform SAP NetWeaver Application Server 2004 received a certificate of Defense for compliance with the requirements for information security. As a result, SAP has become the first in Russia to foreign developer enterprise resource management systems, which received approval to the possibility of using power structures in Russia. Given the complexity of the product, Defense Ministry also conducted a further examination of the results of tests and certification tests took place themselves under the personal supervision of federal leadership body for certification of Defense.
Certificate № 779 from May 16, 2008, issued on the results of tests conducted, confirms that the technological platform of SAP solutions in line with 4 – mu-class protection of computing technology (SVT) needed to build automated systems, manufacturing and secret information protected from unauthorized access. Platform also been promoted to level 3 – lack of control non-declared opportunities (NDV), which determines the degree of confidence in the source code product, sufficient for processing classified state secrets under the “Secret”. In addition, the Defense Ministry certificate confirms that the system meets the requirements for the control of real consistency in the documentation and declared functionality (WFD).
As a result, based on SAP NetWeaver Application Server 2004 can now be designed automated systems to the level of 1 V to process information containing state secrets classified under “Secret”.
Defense Ministry was satisfied that the SAP NetWeaver Application Server 2004 meets the requirements for information security.
Market experts generally praised the certification of SAP.
