Russia was visited by the President and CEO of Citrix Systems Mark Templeton. At a press conference in Moscow, he described the development of the company Citrix in Russia and worldwide.
Mark Templeton noted broad prospects offered to Citrix Systems in the Russian market. Citrix began working in Russia in 2004, and now the share of Russian companies in the gross income of the region EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Asia) is 10-11%.
Russia is one of the most dynamic and promising markets for Citrix Systems. Thus, in 2007 the income of Russian companies increased by more than 2 times. Citrix Systems plans to invest aimed not only at the development team in Russia, but also on the needs of Russian clients, which include both businesses and public entities.

At the press conference Mark Templeton introduced a new product – Citrix Workflow Studio, which allows software solutions integrate all Citrix. In circumstances where applications are delivered to users’ computers on the principle of “on demand” ( “on demand”), Citrix Systems solutions allow optimize and minimize costs, increase efficiency of the staff.
Speaking of leadership in the market and innovative solutions to achieve this, Mark Templeton said: “Already today Citrix provides its clients with solutions that will enable them to successfully grow and reach the leading position in the future”.
According to Mark Templeton, now the IT infrastructure is as follows: there are distributed applications, users and hardware infrastructure. In most cases, these disparate components, and in the future, the distance between them will only increase. This is influenced by various economic and technological factors, among which Templeton identified five basic: globalization – work is carried out in different points of the world; offshoring – the movement of business processes from one country to another; remote work – its significance is increased in response to rising energy and the desire to do staff comfortable life; mobility – company employees must be closer to customers; protection of the environment – reducing the harm caused to the environment of companies.
Mark Templeton explained that in the way of technological development faces a number of obstacles. The main problem – this is a vertically organized information infrastructure company, which is static, too complex and extremely expensive in the content. It is based on a misconception that if unite in one the best infrastructure components, has received the system will be as effective as possible.
Unfortunately it’s not, and, according to Mark Templeton, this approach leads to complications in the operation and optimization of business processes.
