The system integrator Softline Consulting Services has completed a draft introduction of audio-and video-conference call on the basis of Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 for a federal state enterprise “Departmental protection of railway transport in the Russian Federation” (FGP IN ZHDT RF). The project, consisting of two phases and lasted about four months, for twenty-regional business offices throughout Russia was organized system of audio-and video-conference call, embedded platform that allows significantly improve the interaction of working groups.
FGP “Departmental protection of railway transport in the Russian Federation” – a state-owned enterprise with federal charge of guarding the railways: cargo stations in parks and in the ways of their destination, rail transport facilities – and ensuring fire safety entire rail industry. The company has subsidiaries in twenty regions of Russia.
To implement operational control over the activities of regional offices and to take timely decisions leadership IN ZHDT RF required regular telephone conference with representatives of regions. The organization face meetings in Moscow not only takes time but proved very costly. For correspondence meetings, attended by Deputy Director General (Moscow), heads of departments (Moscow) and regional leaders (twenty regions), was implemented at the enterprise system of telephone conference call in a specially equipped meeting.

Existing hardware solutions for the organization of audio and videoconferencing does not meet the company for several reasons, including, and because of high costs.
For the realization of the task has been selected system software and audio-video conference call on the basis of Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007.
The project is being implemented consulting engineers unit Softline Consulting Services, specializing in implementing solutions for corporate communications, and took place in two phases: a pilot project – deployment of a test system for the trial operation, lasted one month – and the deployment system for corporate servers for industrial use.
During the pilot project was carried out testing the system in real conditions for the central office and four regional. During the further deployment have been tested all channels of communication in the transmission of voice and video streams, make recommendations for improvement, and to audio-and video-conference call twenty-regional offices are connected with the subsequent adaptation system for the needs of the enterprise. Videoconferencing system includes a meeting room with large screen, which displays a picture of regional leaders, a video camera and microphone to guide the Moscow office (in the regional offices as a working place used a personal computer with a web camera and headset with microphone).
