The Government does not discuss the privatization of “Svyazinvest”

The Government is not preparing for the transfer into private hands telecommunications holding “Svyazinvest”.

The main shareholder of “Svyazinvest” (75% minus one share) in the person Rosimuschestva was a State. Private companies are shareholders of the company “Comstar-UTS” (17,31% + 1 share) and its subsidiary company – MGTS Finance (7,69% of shares).

The main asset “Svyazinvesta” are the seven interregional companies, operator of intercity and international communication “Rostelecom” and leading Russian design institute in the field of communications – “Giprosvyaz”. Companies “Svyazinvesta” hold licences for the provision of local services, distance and international telephone services, ISDN, wireless subscriber access and mobile communications.
