In the JSC «Nizhny Novgorod Machine Building Plant» is the active deployment of Galaxy ERP. During the next phase of the project functions implemented ERP systems for the Galaxy into production, calculating the actual cost of obtaining and reporting.
JSC «Nizhny Novgorod Machine Building Plant» – the largest defense industry, a powerful industrial complex, which comprises six specialized manufacturing, design center, test site. The plant produces military equipment (man-portable missile systems S-300, antenna systems, artillery systems, mortars), equipment for the nuclear industry, civil products (machines for the repair of wells), automotive telescopic lifts, heating engineer, cranes for the timber industry, coal processors K -500); consumer goods.
Previously, the plant used for the limited functionality of Galaxy ERP: tools used to manage logistics, accounting and payroll. Since the system worked for about 80 users – in two different databases on different versions of the system.
Increasing competition, strong desire to strengthen the market position resulted in the need to obtain a complete picture of the direction of the plant’s activity and control of business processes at all stages of production. That is why it was decided to continue the deployment of Galaxy ERP – to clear the production planning, strict control of costs and cost reduction.
By mid-2008 have been successfully carried out work on the unification of the databases and bring to a single version of Galaxy ERP. As part of its ongoing work automated about 80 additional jobs, implemented support for control tasks of production logistics, the calculation of the actual cost accounting in manufacturing, contract work. Completely this functionality will be introduced into commercial operation as early as 1 half of this year.
