Cost of  OAO Comstar – United TeleSystems “(” Comstar UTS “) of a possible acquisition of the company OAO Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) has not yet been defined and are not aligned. This is in Moscow today at the press conference, President of MTS Mikhail Shamolin. “We have a process, once completed we will let the price”, – said M. Shamolin. He also stressed that when the price will be determined “Comstar”, MTS will decide what funds to finance the transaction. “I anticipate that this will be a combination of equity and debt. The transaction could take place only if we will commit its resources, – emphasized M. Shamolin. According to him, filed with the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) application for the acquisition of “Comstar” does not oblige the MTS will eventually make a deal. “To implement or not implement this feature – the decision is up to us” – said the president of MTS. He also noted that the company does not really matter whether it would be acquired “Comstar” package “Svyazinvest” with or without him, because MTS will buy “Comstar” at the market price.
